Judge Carmen E. Bosch was elected District Judge in 2002. Judge Bosch was appointed to serve in the newly-created Circuit Judge, Family Court position since 2003. Judge Bosch hears divorce cases, juvenile court cases, domestic violence cases and oversees the activities of the Child Support Referee’s Court and the Juvenile Conference Committees.
Raised in South Baldwin County, Judge Bosch is married to Scott Chin.
Judge Bosch is a graduate of the University of South Alabama where she earned a B.S. Degree (1988) and the University of Alabama School of Law where she earned a J.D. Degree (1992).
A former Assistant District Attorney, for the 28th Judicial Circuit, from 1993-2002, Judge Bosch is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Fairhope, member of the Foley Rotary Club, active volunteer for the Junior Miss Program of Baldwin County, Chairman of the Baldwin County Children’s Policy Council and Governor Bob Riley’s appointee to the Statewide Advisory Group which oversees and administers grant monies given the State of Alabama through the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
A Republican and a member of St. James Episcopal Church of Fairhope, Judge Bosch has served as a jurist since 2003.
